World of Warcraft - Queen Azshara by Tyrannuss555 World of Warcraft - Queen Azshara by Tyrannuss555
"Whenever I have doubts or even when faced with leadership I fear..."
- Lady Tyrande

"My Lady, forgive me but you will never become Azshara. You don't desire power like she did because in some way. Your priestesses and your husband they are your power."
- Tylaa

In my opinion Azshara is the elf version of Gul'dan since they're almost a like: Power hungry, narcissistic and manipulative. I gave her eyes a hint of red with her wielding the fel to show her true nature.

Also, while Azshara is similar to Gul'dan, I think she is even more similar to Archimonde, as both she had a good life before joining the Legion, while Gul'dan was horrificaly abused for being born crippled and physically weak, before he turned to Fel.

It is interesting though, that just like to Gul'dan, the Legion also communicated indirectly with Archimonde at first.…

This also shows that Archimonde was evil, betraying ruthlesly his master (who while used demons, done it in somewhat good intentions...) to achieve power and join Kil'jaeden and Velen as rulers of Eredar. It's possible Archomnde, ironically, was at least a bit of coruptor to Kil'jaeden.

While some though the above movie, retcons alternate Gul'dan being a student of Ner'zhul, I think Gul'dan could go to the Shadowoon clan, to learn from Ner'zhul (recognized as the greast shaman in a long time), in order to better master his powers, even after he was corrupted by Felthe Legion, and in he was only indirrectly contacted, like Archimonde in The Skull of the Man'ari short story, in preparation for proper recruitment...

Archimonde being the most evil Eredar, is also signified as he is indirectly named after Satan, as Satan in the Bible is named "the King of the World", which the name Archimonde can mean. Archomonde also wanted to become the Legion highest ruler, as it was said that if he absorbed the power of Nordrassil (and probably the Titan within Azeroth through it), he would become even more powerful than Sargeras, which was said to be exactly his goal...

Great picture.
Wih Azshara, it's an interesting case. She was universally adored by the Kaldorei, to point some though this may be why she became so megalomaniacal. On the other hand, she was noted to use a potent, and hard to notice enchantment, to make everyone love her. And Night Elves DID adore her, as while they disliked the Highborne, they didn't place really any blame on Azshara. The non-Highborne Night Elves were even in denial Azshara was responcible for demons coming, thinking she is held hostage, which is funny, as Mannoroth pretty much froze in fear before Azshara's power, and said only Kil'jaeden, Archimonde, and Sargeras, could be more powerful than her. (I think this also confirmes the Aspects, were at least originally stronger then either Kil'jaeden or Archimonde, as Azshara was somewhat wary of their power, while Mannoroth saw Azshara as comparable to Kil'jaeden or Archimonde).

Also, while speaking of Azshara, I would want to mention that her (psychoticaly) devoted chief handmaiden, looked surprisingly cute as a Night Elf:…
